Gobelo Farm

Gobelo is more than just a community enterprise; it’s a vital part of our shared future. Founded by the owners of Gwango, we are dedicated to creating a sustainable future with natural and indigenous products that honor our environment and culture. From farm tours to innovative products, we offer a unique experience that combines culture, nature, and sustainability.

Our Story
Gobelo is actively developing a range of consumer products, including beverages, spices, jams, sauces, ready-to-eat foods, and personal care brands. We pride ourselves on our commitment to the land and the people who work with us. As our projects expand, so does our team—always growing, always innovating

Ethnobotanical Research
Gobelo’s mission goes beyond farming. The farm is also committed to ethnobotanical research, exploring new ways to use indigenous plants for health, wellness, and culinary purposes. This research is central to Gobelo’s vision of developing natural products that benefit both people and the environment.

Gobelo is a place of constant learning and growth, where innovation, sustainability, and research come together to drive the future of farming.

Explore Gobelo Farm
Located just outside Dete, Gobelo Farm is a sanctuary where nature thrives. Our greenhouse houses a wide range of plants and herbs that contribute to the unique dishes served in our restaurants. We also maintain orchards with fruit trees like lemons, guavas, mangoes, and passion fruit. Alongside these are our cactus plants, including nopal and agave.

The Greenhouse & Orchards
The greenhouse serves as the heart of our farm, nurturing the plants and herbs that make our dishes and products special. Surrounding it are orchards filled with hundreds of fruit-bearing trees, and we’ve even created a botanical haven for a variety of cactus plants.

The Piggery & Rabbit Project
In addition to our greenhouse and orchards, we have a thriving piggery project that started with a gift of two piglets from a local chief. These pigs have now multiplied and contributed to the sustainable farming cycle. We also have one of Dete’s largest rabbit projects, started as a hobby but now housing up to 500 rabbits, all part of our anti-poaching initiative.

Animals at Gobelo
Our farm is home to various animals, from chickens laying fresh organic eggs to sheep, ducks, and more. We prioritize their care, ensuring they are well-fed and happy, as they contribute to the farm’s ecosystem.
