As the dry season deepens, dust and debris build up across our streets and business areas, reminding us why collective action matters. This October, our cleanup campaign continues with renewed purpose: to prepare our community for the upcoming rains and keep litter out of the waterways that flow toward Hwange National Park.

Tourism operators, schools and residents will once again join hands to clear waste from public spaces, shopfronts and roadsides. Local youth groups are also stepping up this month, leading efforts to separate plastic waste for recycling.

Every cleanup is a statement: we care enough to act before problems pile up. By protecting our drainage systems, reducing pollution and beautifying our town, we’re protecting not just the environment but also the reputation of Hwange as a responsible tourism destination.
